Nexus teacher
Mrs. Gomez has 22 years experience in education. She is a certified teacher that has taught in both private and public schools from elementary to college. She has taught students from all ability levels including two years in an at risk school and many years teacher advanced high school courses. Her emphasis is in math and science. She has developed curriculum and designed and taught summer STEM camps. In addition to her undergraduate work, she has a masters in human fitness and performance. Mrs. Gomez herself played soccer in high school and college and has also coached soccer in high school giving her insight on what it takes to be a strong student athlete on and off the field. With all this experience, Mrs. Gomez strives to create an educational environment where students can perform their best academically while developing both socially and emotionally.
Mrs. Gomez has 4 children of her own, two of which play soccer. Mrs. Gomez has also homeschooled her children for many years. Her oldest daughter was homeschooled all the way to college. One of her sons currently attends Nexus academy and is thriving in both the soccer and academic environment. It is clear she believes in what Nexus is about. |
