The story of Nexus began with Academy Director Paul Holocher of the Houston Dynamo FC Academy. Ibrahim Firat of Firat Education and Henry Costas of Heart and Sole Futsal individually approached Paul in the spring of 2021 asking about a soccer school in Houston for their elementary school boys. That’s when Holocher connected Firat and Costas, because he knew these two powerhouses together could create something exceptional for Houston.
While Ibrahim and Henry knew each other, neither would have known they had the same vision. Paul brought them together knowing Ibrahim’s reputation for educational excellence and Henry’s reputation for soccer and futsal excellence. It was the perfect partnership. And it is. |
Ibrahim and Henry got to work looking for four additional students to join their two boys to kick off the inaugural year of Nexus in August of 2021. When they met Aaron “A-Rob” Robinson of P3 Sports Performance through Christian Trejo of Fuerza Sports Recovery, they knew it would be the perfect partnership and location to have their first year. P3 has a great team of performance training, nutritional coaching, and mental training to complement Nexus’ educational and soccer development. Coach Christian Trejo was the perfect trainer and recovery specialist to take care of our Nexus boys' bodies and to prevent injuries.
