Lucho Alarcon
Soccer and Futsal Coach
Coach Lucho's journey began on the streets of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where he honed his soccer skills. At the age of 8, he embarked on his youth soccer odyssey with Universitario de Santa Cruz. His soccer career spanned the third and second divisions of the Bolivian Soccer Association, during which he proudly represented esteemed clubs such as Aurora, Estudiante de la Plata, and Universitario de Sucre.
In 2001, Coach Lucho's family relocated to Madrid, Spain, where he explored diverse employment prospects. Yet, his ardor for soccer endured, finding new expression through his son, Felipe. The mentorship journey began at the tender age of 4, propelling Felipe to join the ranks of youth teams within Spain's professional soccer circuit. This fervent dedication culminated in Felipe's triumphant professional debut in Bulgaria in 2022, followed by his current position in the prestigious first division with U.E. Santa Coloma in Andorra. Returning to Bolivia in 2014, Coach Lucho pivoted to a coaching career. The hallowed halls of Universidad de Futbol (U-D-F) in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, witnessed his dedication from 2014 to 2016. Simultaneously, he assumed the helm of Crucenos Dorados, a team within the fourth division of the Bolivian association, swiftly guiding them to promotion in his inaugural year. In 2019, Coach Lucho's path converged with his friend and Nexus Futbol Academy co-founder, leading to the acquisition of Cleveland Internacional FC, a fourth-division Bolivian team. This collaboration bore fruit across three triumphant seasons, spanning until his departure for the United States in 2023. Now aligned with Nexus Futbol Academy, Coach Lucho is excited to be a part of an institution that treasures individual development and academic accomplishment. Armed with an unwavering commitment, he aspires to bestow lasting value upon the academy, fostering a positive and transformative impact on the lives of its students. |
