born in istanbul, turkey, ibrahim firat grew up surrounded by soccer. He moved to houston at 18 years old to attend the University of st. thomas, pursuing a bachelor of arts in history and a masters of business in marketing.
Mr. Firat started his career in education as a tutor in college and working for an educational consultant before opening firat education in 2008 with his wife josephine firat. since 2008, firat education grew to offer tutoring, test preparation, school admissions, and college and career consulting. Mr. Firat is the chief educational consultant at firat education overseeing all education and academic pathways for the students. in 2010 mr. firat joined houston community college as a business and entrepreneurship professor. in 2018, firat education expanded nationwide with educational consultants in 10 states across the country. in 2021, firat education became the office education partner of the houston dynamo fc academy, where they oversee all education for the pre-professional academy players. in 2022, Ibrahim firat became the president of the independent educational consultants association. mr. Firat joined forces with coach henry costas in 2021 to start nexus futbol academy for their sons Joseph firat and oliver costas. |
