The Draw is a small but meaningful fundraiser in support of the Nexus Academy Foundation, helping provide scholarships for student-athletes who need them most. As a futbol school in Houston, we want our kids fully tuned in to one of the most pivotal days on the global fútbol calendar. It is the moment the world learns which nations are coming to Houston for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The draw determines every group, every matchup, and every host city assignment. For Houston, it reveals the world-class teams and superstars who will step onto our fields and bring global attention to our city. For our students, this is not just a broadcast, it’s an education, an inspiration, and a defining moment for our futbol community. Nexus students and staff will attend The Draw as part of the school day (field trip), but parents, guests, and the community are invited to purchase $30 tickets that will include lunch and the optional entrance into our foot volley tournament. The Draw gives our players and families a chance to experience this historic day together while supporting scholarship opportunities that keep the Nexus mission alive. |

Date: Friday, December 5, 10:30am-2:30pm. (The draw starts at 11am)
Location: Third Coast Volleyball | 5652 Forney Dr, Houston, TX 77036 Cost: Tickets are $30 each and include lunch, foot volley tournament, and atmosphere - all while supporting the foundation. Purchase below. (Nexus students DO NOT need to purchase a ticket.) EVERYONE (including parent attendees) can bring one refillable bottle for water. All other beverages need to be purchased from Third Coast. |

Foot Volley Tournament Every student and staff who wants to play will participate in the tournament. Each adult ticket includes the option to enter our Foot Volley Tournament, a fun and competitive highlight of The Draw. Parents can team up and take on our older Nexus students in competitive foot volley matches on the sand courts at Third Coast. No experience required! This is your chance to jump in, play or against our big kids, and be part of the action. Whether you’re out there for bragging rights or just for fun, this is a great way to connect with our students, support the school, and enjoy the spirit of the day. Details for the tournament will be posted here soon. (Note that everyone will be grouped by skill level to provide maximum fun and competition.) |
