Welcome to the Nexus WhatsApp Community for 2025–26
As our school continues to grow, we’ve updated our WhatsApp group structure to keep communication clear, organized, and helpful for everyone. This new structure helps us to keep key information organized and easy to find, providing a quiet place (Parent News) where you can always scroll back and find information, and to allow parents to connect meaningfully within smaller, more relevant groups.
It’s part of our effort to increase communication and support families better—without the noise. We are still moving families around to make sure they are in the right groups. Thanks for helping us build a more intentional community!
Here’s how it works:
Parent News 2025–26 (Admin Only):
This group serves as our official Nexus parent newsletter, posted right here on WhatsApp for your convenience. Only admins can post to keep things organized and clutter-free, so nothing important gets lost in the chat. Topics like uniforms, lunch, special events, press releases, etc... will be shared here. This is your go-to place for everything you need to stay informed during the school year. Scroll up at any time to find previous posts. Some posts will take you to detailed information on the website, and other posts will have PDFs or PNGs with information. No chatting in this group. Just info, all in one place.
The "Media, links and docs" section of this group will be helpful to find previously posted information as well.

Used for quick alerts—bad weather, schedule changes, reminders, etc.
Grade-Level Groups (Chat Enabled):
Parents can communicate with one another here. These are great for sharing questions, class-specific reminders... etc.
New Nexus Parents (Chat enabled)
This group is just for families who are new to Nexus for the 2025–26 school year. Here, you’ll get extra guidance on things our returning families already know—like Nexus traditions, how events are run, and what to expect day to day.
Feel free to ask questions! This group is supported by Veteran Nexus mom Claudia Elizondo, our Parent Liaison, who serves as the bridge between Nexus staff and parents. She’s here to help new families get comfortable and confident as part of our community. For official school updates, please refer to the Parent News 2025–26 group.

Girl Parents (Chat enabled)
This group is for parents of girls at Nexus across all grade levels. This is a space to share updates specific to our girls’ experience at Nexus and build community among families raising strong, confident young women in soccer and academics!
Soccer Groups (Chat Enabled):
Each soccer training group (U10–U15) has its own chat for futbol-specific updates and coordination - specifically for when we take teams and players in specific age groups on international trips. These groups will be run by Coach Henry.
College Admissions – Class of 2028 and 2029 (Chat Enabled):
For parents of students beginning the college journey—updates, resources, and support. These two grade levels will most likely split as the year goes on. These groups will be run by Nexus' College Consultant Ibrahim Firat.
