At Nexus, our coaches do more than run training sessions — they shape the daily experience and long-term development of every student-athlete. Whether on the field, in the futsal gym, or performance gym, our staff brings deep expertise, high standards, and a personal commitment to each child’s growth.

This summer’s camp is led by a group of professionals with international playing and coaching backgrounds, including national team coaches, former professionals, and youth development specialists. They don’t just train players — they mentor them, challenge them, and care for them.

HENRY COSTAS
CO-FOUNDER & HEAD OF FUTBOL | FOUNDER, HEART AND SOLE FUTSAL

Coach Henry sets the technical and cultural direction of Nexus. He leads the soccer methodology across all age groups and works directly with players on tactical understanding, competitive mindset, and personal accountability. A native of Bolivia, Coach Henry brings experience from both South American and U.S. development systems and believes in building complete athletes through structure, discipline, and opportunity. His leadership shapes how Nexus players train, think, and carry themselves — on and off the field.

Now living in Spain, Coach Henry brings a perspective of the realities of European football. From the way young players are developed in Spanish academies to how families approach education and sport as one integrated path, he studies and lives the model that Nexus is building toward. His long-term vision spans three continents — North America, South America, and Europe — with Nexus serving as a bridge that connects players to opportunity, culture, and world-class training no matter where they come from.

RODRIGO PETILLO
FUTSAL & FUTBOL DEVELOPMENT COACH | TECHNICAL DIRECTOR, HEART AND SOLE FUTSAL

Coach Rodrigo leads the futsal and technical skills curriculum at Nexus, working directly with players to improve their control, speed of play, and decision-making in tight spaces. His sessions are detail-driven and focused on making players smarter and more efficient on the ball. He plays a key role in shaping how futsal integrates into the broader futbol development model at Nexus.

Coach Rodrigo’s background includes over a decade of professional futsal experience in Argentina and Italy, where he played for top clubs like River Plate, Napoli, Roma, and Pescara, and competed in three Futsal World Cups and four Copa Americas as the captain of the AFA Men's National Team.

At both Nexus and Heart and Sole, Coach Rodrigo applies that experience to help players train with purpose. He sets a high bar in both programs — developing coaches, designing curriculum, and guiding athletes with the mindset and discipline required to succeed at the next level.

LUCHO ALARCON
FUTSAL & FUTBOL COACH

Coach Lucho brings unmatched energy, joy, and heart to Nexus. Originally from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, he plays a dual role that is central to the Nexus experience — coaching younger players on the field and preparing fresh, daily, nutritious meals for students in the kitchen.

On the field, Coach Lucho leads high-energy sessions focused on building confidence, creativity, and foundational skills. His ability to connect with players — especially the youngest — makes him a trusted presence in their development. He brings intensity, fun, and structure to every drill, and kids feed off his enthusiasm.

Off the field, Chef Lucho runs our lunch program with the same care and commitment. He prepares nutritious meals for full-day students every day, creating a space that feels like home. For many kids, he’s the first smiling face they see in the morning and the last coach they hug on their way out — and that’s not by accident.

Coach Lucho is more than a coach or chef. He’s a cornerstone of our culture.
