Each year, Nexus students submit original work to the annual iWRITE Publishing Contest, an international competition for young writers and illustrators in grades 3–12. Selected entries are professionally published in the iWrite Short Stories by Kids for Kids anthology, giving students the opportunity to become published authors at a young age.
Through this experience, our students strengthen their writing skills, express their creativity, and discover the power of sharing their voices with others. |

Why It Matters for Nexus Students
At Nexus, we believe student development extends beyond the futbol field. The iWRITE Publishing Contest encourages our students to:
Celebrating Our 2026 Published Authors Inspired by Brad Meltzer’s bestselling children’s book series, the 2026 theme, “Ordinary People Change the World,” invited students to celebrate individuals whose lives and contributions have made a difference. We are incredibly proud that 27 Nexus students were selected for publication, representing 35% of all poetry winners in this year’s contest. Even more remarkably, every student in our 2025–2026 fourth-grade class was selected for publication—100% of the class. Their winning poems will be professionally published in the upcoming I Write Short Stories by Kids for Kids anthology. Congratulations to our 27 young authors! |
