High Performance Player Immersion
Selected Nexus-only high school-aged players will have the opportunity to train with professional clubs abroad for one week. This exclusive experience, limited to 1-2 players at a time, allows them to immerse themselves in a professional training environment while living with a local host family. This not only enhances their futbol skills but also provides a unique cultural exchange. The opportunities for high performance player immersions for Nexus students are in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Spain, Turkiye. Past Immersion Experiences of Nexus students: - Boca Juniors Futsal, Argentina - Club Blooming, Bolivia - Tahuichi, Bolivia - Santos FC, Brazil - Sant Cugat FC, Spain - Barcelona FC Futsal, Spain - Besiktas JK, Turkiye |
High Level Group Training

These trips are designed to provide intensive training sessions, exposure to different coaching styles, and the opportunity to experience new cultures. During the school year, these trips will include designated school time to ensure students keep up with their academic responsibilities. Team Competitions Abroad
Nexus will send futsal or futbol teams (comprised of Nexus students, Heart and Sole Players, and select guests), depending on the age group, to compete in international tournaments for one week. These experiences offer students the chance to test their skills against international competition, learn from different playing styles, and bond with teammates in a new and challenging environment. Similar to the individual and group training trips, students traveling during the school year will have scheduled school time to maintain their academic progress. The opportunities for team competition for Nexus students, Heart and Sole players, and select international guests are in Bolivia, Brazil, and Spain. |
International Visiting Coaches:
Nexus will host visits from renowned international coaches who will come to train our students. These visits will provide our students with the opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches in the world, exposing them to new techniques, strategies, and training methodologies. The visiting coaches will conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars, enriching our students' futbol education and fostering a deeper understanding of the global game. Guest Playing
Occasionally there are opportunities for a Nexus student to guest play on an international team for a game or tournament in the US or abroad. Our coaching team will select the best fit Nexus player in that situation. Past Guest Playing Experiences: Opportunity Brazil futsal team in the United Futsal World Champions Tournament in Orlando, Summer 2024 |
The Nexus Global Futbol Initiative will expand its international reach by welcoming international students to our school. We will introduce an ESL (English as a Second Language) program, providing international students with the necessary language skills to thrive academically and socially. Additionally, we will facilitate the provision of student visas and F1 status, enabling international students to fully experience all that Nexus has to offer.
We deeply value the inclusion of international students in our community. Not only does it provide these students with the unique opportunity to study and live in the United States, but it also enriches the educational and athletic environment for our Nexus students. By training and attending school alongside high-level international futbol players, our students gain exposure to diverse playing styles, cultures, and perspectives. This daily interaction fosters a global mindset, enhances their futbol development, and prepares them to excel in an increasingly interconnected world. |
