At Nexus Fútbol Academy, Caroline Henderson brings Spanish to life through culture, music, conversation, and soccer. A native Spanish speaker, she grew up immersed in the language and in Spanish-speaking countries, giving students authentic exposure to both language and culture.With over a decade of studying Spanish at the university level and a degree in the field, Caroline combines academic expertise with personal passion. Before joining Nexus, she gained valuable experience in homeschooling and curriculum development—skills that were key in building Nexus’s unique Spanish program from the ground up. In her classroom, Caroline uses a fully immersive, comprehensible-input approach that blends language learning with culture, music, and the world of fútbol. Her innovative curriculum helps students not only learn Spanish, but also experience it—making communication natural, engaging, and connected to real life. Outside the classroom, Caroline enjoys traveling with her family to Costa Rica, where they surf, explore, and immerse themselves in the local culture. They also spend winters in New Mexico, where snowboarding has become a beloved family tradition. She continues her passion for language at home by teaching her own children Spanish. Whether on the soccer field, in the classroom, or abroad, Caroline is dedicated to helping students connect with Spanish in meaningful and lasting ways. |
